T-tail Paper Airplane

Folding Instructions

Step 1
  Start with a sheet of letter-size or A4 paper in landscape format.  Fold the paper in half and then unfold the paper. Fold the two top corners toward the center line.

Step 2
 Use a ruler and pencil to draw creaselines as shown.

 

 



 
Step 3
Fold line A and B and unfold for both sides.
Step 4
With a ruler and a pencil, draw the cutting lines. Cut out a triangle section and a part of the center line. Fold the tail fin along the crease line B and insert into the center cutting. Fold to wing to the left along line B.

 


 

Step 5
Fold the wing to the right along line C.
Step 6
Fold the right side along line A while you pull the tail fin toward left.
 
 

Step 7
 Fold the top wing toward the right. Turn the the model over for the next step.

Step 8
Fold the top layer (tail fin) toward the left. Turn over the model for the next step.

 




Step 9
Fold and unfold the tail fin as shown for the later step. Repeat steps 4 thru 7 for left side wing.

Step 10
Fold the model in half. You need a mountain-fold. (Not valley fold!)

Step 11
Fold down the wing as shown in figure. Adjust the creases of the plane to match the front view profile. You may fold up the wing tips as shown in the front view.
Step 12
T-tail fin airliner is ready for display.
