F-4 Phantom Jet

Folding Instructions

1. Fold the paper in half crosswise and unfold. Then use a ruler to measure the folding line as shown in figure. Crease or draw the line with a pencil.

2.  Fold the left edge to the sloped crease line.

3. Fold the left edge again along the crease line made in step 1.

4. Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 for the right side.

5.  Fold the tip of the top layer as shown. This part becomes the canopy of the plane. Then fold the paper in half.

6. Use a ruler to make an accurate folding line B.  Crease this line and make an inside reverse fold.

7.  Use a ruler again to draw the folding lines as shown. Fold the nose part first and then the fuselage part. See the next diagram for how the engine intake part is formed.

8. Crease the wing tip as shown. Fold the wing up. Repeat steps 7 and 8 on other side wing.

9.  Adjust the creases so that the model has the profile shown. The plane is ready to fly. If you want to use the scissors and you would like to make a more realistic Phantom Jet, go on to the step 10. 10. Open a wing and use a ruler and a pencil to draw a red cutting line as shown in diagram. Cut the red line on both layers together.

11. You may fold the wing tips as shown in the profile. The tail stabilizers can be slightly lowered, as on a real Phantom Jet. The plane is ready to fly.
