Step 1. Use a sheet of 81/2-by-11 inch paper. Fold the paper in half lengthwise and then unfold the paper. Fold the top down along the line 3/4 inch below the top edge. |
Step 2 Fold top corners inward to the center crease line. |

Step 3. Fold both sides to the center line and crease, then turn over the model. |
Step 4. Fold both side upper corners to the center line. Use a ruler to draw line between two corners made by the above foldings. Mountain-fold along this line. |

Step 6. This is result of the step 5. Turn over the model for next step. |

Step 7. Use a ruler to draw a line above 1/4 inch from two side corners as shown in diagram. Fold down the top layer along this line. Turn over the model. |
Step 8. Fold two wing tips (small triangle part) to make smooth wingtips and fold the model in half along center line. |

Step 9. Cut the elevators at the trailing edges. Fold the wing tips (a mountain-fold) and fold down wings. This is an origami model. If you would like the origami-plus-cut version, jump to the step 11. |
Step 10. Adjust the creases of the plane to match the profile. Bend the elevator up for better lift. The plane is ready to fly.

Step11 Use a pencil and ruler to draw a cutting lines, as shown in white. Cut the white line on both layers together. Bring the wing down and fold up the tail fin. |
Step12 Adjust the creases of the plane to match the profile. Bend the elevator up for better lift. The plane is ready to fly. |
